ACTion in groups.
The central goal of ACT is to develop personal resilience or psychological flexibility, or how you can stay in the Lead (personal leadership). All ACT processes are covered: what doesn't work, being open to everything that presents itself, noticing your thinking, recognizing and letting go of rules, looking at yourself and letting go of your beliefs, being aware of the present moment, becoming aware of your values and how to act on your values. Discussing topics, exercises and metaphors make these processes visible. So it's not so much about the content. The common characteristics of these building blocks make ACT very suitable for groups. The central goal, developing more resilience by working on the building blocks, gives a group the opportunity to respond more vitally and workably to what life throws at them, regardless of the differences. In short: with the help of ACT you learn to deal more effectively with thoughts, feelings and circumstances, as you move towards achieving your goals and dreams.
How does ACT work in a group?
I start a group when at least six people and a maximum of ten people have registered. In total there are 3 group meetings, each lasting 3 hours. The meetings take place every three weeks week. Between the group meetings there is the possibility to schedule an online individual appointment. At least two weeks before the start you will receive information about the location, starting time and practical information.
